Mary E. Hays, M.S., LMHC began her private practice in June 2004. Prior to that, she had twenty years of experience working with children, adults and families in educational settings as a teacher and a counselor. She earned her Masters degree in counseling from Indiana University. She holds professional memberships in the American Counseling Association and the Amercian Mental Health Counselors Association. She has been trained by the Institute of Trauma and Loss in Children (Detroit Children’s Home) as a trauma specialist. Mary has also studied with the Love and Logic Institute of Golden, Colorado, regarding “Becoming a Love and Logic Parent”.
Mary lived and worked in Haiti as a volunteer for three years. This experience helps her have a worldview that values and celebrates the unique expressions of life and creativity present in all people.
